Kempt Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026

Kempt is a window manager for the Mac, made by Yamado Technologies Inc. In short: Kempt doesn't collect any data. Everything it does and learns stays on your Mac.

What Kempt uses on your Mac

• Accessibility permission. macOS requires it for any app that moves other apps' windows. Kempt uses it only to see where windows are and to move and resize them.
• How you use windows. To give space to the windows you use, Kempt counts on your Mac how long each window is in front and how many clicks, scrolls and key presses it gets. It never records which keys you press, what you type, what's in your windows or what's on your screen. It doesn't use Screen Recording.
• What it learns. The sizes and places you give each app, and your settings, are saved in Kempt's folder on your Mac. You can clear what it learned from its menu.

What leaves your Mac

Nothing. Kempt has no account, no servers, no analytics and no advertising, and doesn't share data with anyone.

Purchases

The free trial and the unlock are in-app purchases handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to them.
